स्टेम सेल से गंजेपन का इलाज संभव

वैज्ञानिकों को मानव स्टेम सेल के उपयोग से नए बाल उगाने में बड़ी सफलता मिली है। इससे गंजेपन के उपचार की एक नई राह की संभावना बढ़ी है। सैनफोर्ड-बर्नहेम मेडिकल रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट के शोध ने बाल गिरने के साथ लोगों के लिए कोश्ािका आधारित उपचार के विकास की दिश्ाा में पहला कदम बढ़ाया है। सैनफोर्ड-बर्नहेम के एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर एलेक्सी टेरसिख ने बताया, 'हमने बाल उगाने में सक्षम नई कोश्ािका बनाने के लिए मानव स्टेम सेल के उपयोग से एक नई विधि ईजाद की है। यह विधि मौजूदा तरीकों से काफी उन्न्त स्तर की है। वास्तव में मौजूदा तरीकों में सिर पर मौजूद बाल के रोमों को एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान पर प्रत्यारोपित किया जाता है।" उन्होंने बताया, 'हमारी विधि कोश्ािकाओं के असीमित स्रोत मुहैया कराती है और मौजूदा बाल रोमों की उपलब्धता तक सीमित नहीं होती है।" इस शोध का प्रकाश्ान पीएलओएस वन जर्नल में किया गया है।

Treatment of baldness possible with stem cells

Sanford-Bernheim Associate Professor Alexei Tersikh stated, 'We have devised a new method using human stem cells to create new cells capable of growing hair. This method is of a much better level than the existing methods. In fact, the existing methods have implanted hair follicles on the scalp from one place to another. "He explained, 'Our method provides unlimited sources of cells and is not limited to the availability of existing hair follicles." This research has been published in PLOS One Journal.
